Rear Shock Spring fit
« on: March 25, 2013, 08:05:09 AM »
I own a 1990 Kx 250 and a 1993 KX 500.
I restored the 250 a couple years ago and just recently got the K 500.
I am now in the middle of face lifting the 500.
I have done a full suspension upgrade to the 250 from Factory Connection.
I would like to use the parts on my 500 since I am riding it the most now.
I know the forks are different. But... Will the spring from my 250 rear shock fit on
the KX 500 Shock? I am heavy and I need the spring, and could save a few bucks if it fits.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I don't have the info for the kx250 but I do for the 93 kx500.
Spring wire diameter: 12.0MM OD -
Spring Dia: 89MM -
Spring as mounted: 265MM
Spring free length: ? longer the 265mm  :-D
Measure your spring and compare.
My guess is that it will work.
The four stroke engine: That's one stroke for producing power and three for wearing the engine out.
