Now that the brackets are installed or fabricated and the bike is mostly set up, I've started a few cosmetic upgrades before I blow the bike apart and powder coat the frame and do the suspension.  The first thing I needed to do was to redo the radiator guards.  I got a little aggressive with the trimming on the factory ones, so I tried to be a lot more careful on the green OEM ones so that the outer fin still directed air towards the radiator.  I'm pleased with how it came out:

Next up was to replace the round brake rotors with something more aggressive.  I used a 2009 KX250F rear rotor, and I like how it looks.  The front is going to be a Tusk Typhoon because the 125 has smaller hubs, and won't accept the later model rotors.

I added a little unnecessary but still cool bling with the green silicon hoses.  If you buy them on eBay, be aware they are too long and will need to be trimmed quite a bit to fit.  The shape is good, they just add too much at either end.  Otherwise they fit on just fine.

Finally I put gas in the tank, trying hard to trust the fuel resistant sealant I used to seal petcock bolts where they screw in to the fuel pump block off plate, and she fired back up after sitting for a while.  I rode her around the block and am ready to start phase II: disassembly and beautification.

Some things I have planned include: Kyokote, DLC coating, and a revalve for the forks, revalve for the shock, smoothing and black powder coat for the triples, Tusk rims with cerakoated stock hubs and polished stock spokes, new tires, some mild bling, and the mandatory for beauty shots gold chain.   :-D

This is the color of the Kyocote I am thinking of going with.  It looks fairly similar to the Kashima, but is cheaper ($499 for both legs), applied in the USA, and said to outperform Kashima.  I'm getting mine done by Brian at N2Dirt suspension, who did the work on my 2017 conversion.  They do great work, and are really good dudes.

Ignore the shock.  That's a Race Tech National shock, and I think they run in the mid $2,000s new.   :-o

I got some more work done on the bike yesterday, and I think I'm about ready to blow it apart and start the beautification process.  I installed a new Tusk front brake rotor, and Galfer line.  It was a huge improvement over the too long, nasty looking green line.

I also added a small amount of anodized Tusk stuff while I was at it:

I've got the Tusk rims and new tires to add yet, but here's how she looks before I blow it apart:

Looks good. The red dirt from Draper will add some character.

Yes it will.  I just hope the place looks better after the Okie Dirt Riders have had a few dry months to work on the trails.  They were pretty bad the last time Danger and I went out there.

I haven’t forgot about you 2. I had to have shoulder surgery so I’m out of action until mid-October. Hopefully dr will clear me then so I can get some fall riding in.

I'm sorry to hear that.  I've been through shoulder surgery, and it sucks.  Let me know when you get cleared, and we'll go out there get some mud on your bike.
