1982 ?? model ?
« on: April 01, 2012, 03:15:31 AM »
I'm pretty sure this is correct, but I'll always accept more verification from others...
This bike is air cooled, with a Uni Trac rear suspension. Unfortunately, it comes with out a airbox, fuel tank, seat, or number plates... BUT, the original motor has good compression.
VIN: JKAKXMA10BB504004
How hard is it to find parts for this model ? I may just get it to run on a bottle, and Ebay it...
I also have a '82 CR125R, 85% complete,that runs,and rides I'm gonna list there later today, I think...

Hello.
That VIN is from a 1981 KX250.
The four stroke engine: That's one stroke for producing power and three for wearing the engine out.

No problem.
You can go here, enter your VIN and it will tell you.
http://www.kawasaki.com/DefaultFrame.aspx?strContentUrl=/SITE/VIVEHICLEINFORMATION/VICHOOSEVEHICLE.ASP
Or, you can use my website for VIN, Engine, and parts ID here:
http://oem-cycle.com/KAWASAKIKX250BIKEID.aspx
We are getting ready to switch our hosting service so the link to my data base will almost certainly change.
However, our main page http://oem-cycle.com will stay the same and you can always access the database through our main page.
