Full circle, K5. Hi all!
« on: February 20, 2012, 01:30:39 PM »
I?m been reading here for a while which been a wealth of information.   I?ve been on motorcycle hiatus for about 15 years, the raising family thing and not having the  time.  I eased back into on street bikes few ago. Then got my first off road ,  CRF450x and supermoto?d it.
Last year,  I made the off road commitment and made a 2003 KDX220 mine for woods thrashing.
My last bike in a previous life was  a 87 K5  for hare scrambles and enduro , trail riding. Once it?s in your blood  it never leaves. I couldn?t get the KX out of my mind. We?ll now I have 2 K5s. A 2004, ?like out of the create new? and a 94 with  a hole in the case below the crank/crank seized from poor storage  (99 until now) I need to fix  either with another motor of have the case repair?
The 2004 is slated for the street and 94 for the woods and track.
I will post some questions ,  where a search doesn?t give specifics I need   so please bear with?
Hopefully with some pics

The four stroke engine: That's one stroke for producing power and three for wearing the engine out.
