Title: Greetings from the great white north!
Post by: tha.steev.oh on September 19, 2009, 10:26:38 AM
How's she goin', eh? I'm from Canuckistan (Canada... ) and will be building a 99 kx500 supermoto project this winter. I'm looking forward to bending your collective ears for info and hopefully giving valuable feedback/tips as I complete my mission. I've already learned a lot as a guest (especially Stewart & Doordie) and looking forward to much more in the future.

Cheers  :-D
Steve

Welcome, Steve.

Where are you located?  Do you also ride off-road?

I'm in Edmonton, Alberta and I do ride offroad as well but this project will be strictly for 'tard racing. Where are you at? Are you a Canuck too, Barry?

Do you have a regular street ride, too?
Where do you ride off-road?

I grew up in BC and went to college in GP. Small world.
I have a 2007 Husky TC450 too but not many places to ride except area MX tracks and around Edson/Hinton. But you already knew that, I'm sure.
Got a 2007 Aprilia Tuono R for the street. Stupid quick - it seems to do the trick...
California must be amazing - I'm planning on moving down around Vernon / Kelowna area within the next year and then my riding options will be upgraded to "EPIC".
I added a pic of my new bike. The '99 bid fell through but got a great deal on an '01 instead. Blessing in disguise I figure. It's currently in transit from Georgia -  should have it by the start of Oct. It's so clean - I can't wait to get started!
