Title: Pipe Needed 1993 250 frame conversion
Post by: joker_fly on July 15, 2009, 12:54:41 PM
Hi every body

I need info on pipes

I have 2 bikes on 500 1991 with  a mild port job and doma pipe and high compression gasget

The other one is simular but its a 250 with a custom spes pipe ? Home modifed

Im looking for a Pipe that will hit as hard as my doma does but will fit my kx250 frame

I have a broken fmf pipe i can use the flange from but i dont know what pipe would suit me ?

I really like it when it hits HARD (Weekend warrior =)

the pipe you want is a cr 500 fmf gnarly you use the header pice from the kx 500 and use the cr expansion chamber and if you want a low profile silencer use the fmf powercore2 from an 03 cr 250 i have pics of the mods i did this with my 02 conversion

you could buy a pipe from Service Honda/Kawasaki for the KX500AFs

we could not gurantee fitment of course ,
and it might need minor mods to fit properly, but would be initially far  closer than anything else off the shelf??

AJ, How much are you charging for the pipe, and what rpm range is it suited for compared tom stock, more n=bottom, or more top?
Thanks
