I spoke with their sales manager a couple of years ago and was told not to buy the 700, that the 620 was the one to buy! :-D :-D

I don't see how they stay in business. Very high priced and not much dealer support. Any aftermarket parts ? A new KX450F is under 7 thousand. The ATK's start at 10 thousand. With all the places I ride I have never seen one. Now that I think about it I've only seen 1 K5 other than mine. That's one of those money to burn bikes. I would park it next to my H2 BMW that sits next to my 4 KX 500's. You know 1 for sand, 1 for MX, 1 for supermoto and 1 for hill climbs. Did I leave anything out ?? Money can't by love but it can buy fun.

remember the ATK's from back in the 70's when my dad used to race a Maico. saw one on craigslist, a 96, and there was a link to the site. didn't know they still made em. so why was the 620 better than the 700? :|
-
i heard that our k5s are just as fast at the 620 or the 700. i have yet to see one myself though
-
just good to know:
1.AMERICA still builds a dirt bike.
2. there is still a BIG 2-stroke being made.
as the Jap. bikes start to phase out 2-smokers, we may start to see more of em.
-
MadKaw, the bikes from ATK are actually imported German Maico's.
The Maico's are made by K?stler and they only make 2 strokes, from 250, 320, 500, 620 to 685cc.
But they're a little too expensive i guess, because i have never seen a new Maico on the street or on the track.

Go to 'Products', then 'to our e-shop', then under 'categories': 'motorcycles new/used' and then 'Maico new vehicles'
