This will be a cool engine build.
The engine came to us with a Eric Gore ported cylinder.
The porting would have been ok for a trail bike but NOT for a Snow bike..
You can read the details so far here:

Bit of a bold statement :-)
Looks like eric is aiming more air flow toward piston/ crankcase area
U seem to be aiming more towards boyesen port by removing alot of metal on the cylinder side of the boyesen port which i am not a fan of because kawasaki are prone too cracking around rear cylinder studs
Which is better? dont know without dyno

What I'm doing works pretty well for what I want..
I won't go to the extreme I did on this drag bike but the same principals apply on a smaller scale..

Oh, and Jeff has won 6 Championships on his KX500, including this season with the new top end and crank I built him.
He won this last dirt season with no NOS, all engine.
Ice season starts up soon (Hopefully) and he will turn on the spray 8-)
Jeff said that the new top end I built puts out more power without NOS then his engine did before with NOS.
And the really cool thing is we can give him more power at any time :-o

Send your crank parts out for assembly and balancing while dirty... and they will come back dirty with a new rod kit.
Send them out clean or polished and the results speak for themselves.

Got it put together enough tonight so that I can figure out the port timing and the head squish.
So now I can finish porting the cylinder and get it sent out for repair and plating.
Also, Larry will be getting another head to do very soon :-)
