Yes, we are moving :o ... NOT going out of business
I am simplifying my operation so I can concentrate on more of the bikes and builds that I want to do.
For the next couple of months I will be moving inventory so as you may have noticed I have not been doing much with the site.
I can assure you that I have many plans for future articles that will be super cool 8-)
So please be patient for the next couple of months and I'll have everything sorted out.
Thanks!

getting a bigger place??
-
Work space about the same.
Storage space is a little less.
No more walk in traffic, internet sales only Woohooo!!!! :-D
-
You still gonna be doing vapor blasting?
-
Oh yeah, and lots more engine builds 8-)
-
Are you scaling back your parts business or are you just trying to focus more on internet traffic?
-
Yeah, local sales were too time consuming.
And if someone walks in the door needing kx500 parts I can't shut up :-o
So internet parts, Vapor blasting, porting, and engine builds will be my focus.
Oh yeah... having more time to ride my own bike will be nice as well..
-
Hmm I didn't realize you did any of that stuff. When do you think you'd be happily accepting engines again? 😊
-
Probably 3-4 weeks.
This one was in pretty bad shape when we got it:
http://www.oem-cycle.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=41&t=1027 (http://www.oem-cycle.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=41&t=1027)
Turned out very nice though..
-
Just to let everyone know, if you send me a email and I don't respond for a few days, I'm not being rude or ignoring you... I just have a LOT to do just to get ready to move to our new location so I am only at the shop for minimal amounts of time.
Thanks!
-
Good luck on the move!
-
Quickie update...
The shop sold and I bought a new place.
All my inventory is moved thanks to many hard working friends who busted their butts helping me.
Now the next phase is figuring out where everything is :-o and getting the work areas set up and rolling again.
When moving 14,000 + parts and having limited time, things can get ugly in a hurry and they did.
Right now I'm trying to get the various bike manufactures in their various sections.
Once that is done I will get them organized by year and size as I had at my last shop.
I had to put my shipping on hold for about 5 days.
That was a real job finding all the parts but I'm all caught up now.
For the next few weeks I will be insulating all the walls and sheeting them with OSB.
A bunch of wiring needs to be re-done and I have to run all the pipe for air compressor.
So, for the next few months I'll be working on this mess.
I'll get some pics for you to laugh at
-
Congratulations!!
looking forward to seeing the new shop!!
-
I did manage to finish a couple of K5 cranks... Balanced, welded, polished, Wossner rods 8-)
-
Sexy!
are those for current builds...or for sale?
-
One is sold and the other is for a build.
We will see how well the Wossner rods hold up because the bike it is going in runs on NOS :-o
-
We need video of that dude please.
-

cool...I'm thinkin that rod will hold up just fine.
-
Yeah, I wouldn't have sold it for that application if I didn't think it would hold up.
I am also porting and plating the cylinder for him.
Can't wait to see his results.
He said he will get some video so we'll see 8-)
-
Cool you are getting there! Moving is a pain!
-
Rather then re-post a bunch of pics you can check out the move in progress here:

-
And I thought moving my house was a pain in the ass. :-D
-
Guess what's next :-o
Yeah, the house is next.
At least I can do it at my leisure.
But, I have to get the shop done first, then get the new stable set up for my wife's hay burners...
Then move the house stuff...
It's ugly but worth it in the end.
-
Man you are going to need a visit from your old buddy Jack to get through all that moving. :-D

I built three display bikes.
2 were stolen within 2 hours of me moving my Conex Containers.
The other I took to a neighbor who does scrap...

f**king thieves.
makes you wonder if the same scum bags were involved with stealing your 500.
-
The funny part is...... I was gonna take them to the scrap yard anyway
There was not a single usable part on any of the bikes.
They were literally junk from one end to the other.
Even the plastics were held together with Frankenstitch zip ties.
But from a distance and especially at night they look pretty good.
-
Still though, doesn't change that they are pieces of crap. Not the bikes, that has been established, the one's that took the pieces of crap. They are crap too. Crap on crap. It is a sh!t storm!!!

I didn't know you had 3...have to make a fresh one now. 8-)
-
Yeah,,, I'm not going to do the walk in stuff any more.
Internet only.
Nobody will know that I'm there.
We will offer a local pick up and delivery service for repairs but I just don't have the time for the local business and business isn't good enough to hire someone to take care of it :|

Believe it or not someone stole this bike and one other a few hours after this vid was made. So you risk going to jail for a couple of piles of junk.. These bikes were made from complete junk parts from multiple bikes that were welded together. what they got was complete scrap worth about 10 bucks  Tweakers are so stupid.

nice!...lookin good!
-
Coming along nicely! You happy with it so far?
-
There are few things more stressful than trying to work when your space is disorganized. I'm glad you're getting it like you want it. When do you think you will be all done and happy?
-

Oh yeah, I still have a lot of work to do but it's well worth the effort..

It will be several months. Still have to move my house stuff, build a barn for the wife's hay burners, and I have a ton of work to do on the shop...
And of course still keep the business rolling 8-)
-
After working with my compressor in the same shop that we work in for the last 7 months.... I can honestly say that I am SICK OF IT!!!!!
It's not really that loud but it just drones away and drives me nuts.
So, Jason and I talked about building a shed to house it.
Cool... We have a stairwell right next to the shop that would be a perfect location...
So I figured that I would build a nice little wood structure, hook up the compressor and be done with it...
The next day I was out of town all morning.
When I got back Jason had been hard at work..
learly, Jason and I had a different idea of what we should do... :-o
Be that as it may, I liked the idea of a concrete pad for the compressor to sit on..
It would also give us a chance to fix the missing block from the corner of the building.
Why it was done that way I don't know but every time we got a decent rain the shop got water in it...
So, I rented one of these..
Started doing some of this..
Then ended up with this..
-
Then Jason says, "Hey, how much of that block do you have left over from building your other shop wall?"
I thought it would look cool to have the block at the base with wood sides..
Even Ruger liked the idea..
But once again, Jason had other ideas..
-
And it kept growing and growing...
That's either a gun port or a hole for the intake fan..
What other surprises await us????
I have no idea..
In all fairness to Jason, I did say to do whatever you want to...
-
That looks great! Jason appears to have done some masonry work before... I did the same as I was tired of mine in the shop too. Put a small pad down and wood building but added an air dryer so my lines stay clean and dry. Nice to have the compressor outside but the air dryer is inside and blows off and it is quite loud. Still better though.
-
+1
looks sweet!
good lookin pooch too!
-
Yeah, Jason is a Union Journeyman Mason
And yet he'd rather starve and work on bikes... go figure :-o
