Title: KTM 525 KX500 conversion
Post by: bishboy on April 06, 2015, 10:29:49 PM
I was going with an alloy frame conversion, but thought it would be too difficult etc

So decided to go with a steel frame bike, a 2006 KTM525, the seller even crated it and delivered it to the transport company  8-).  I thought it would be a good base for a desert racer.

Just got to find a KX500 engine now....if I can't find a good one over here, I'll look over there and get Tom Morgan build it

good looking roller...I occasionally post K5 motors in the E-bay/Craigslist section, so keep your eyes open. :-)

Bishboy,
I used a 2006 525sx frame for my conversion I did back in 2010--Very easy conversion to do--The bike handles great--I'll try to post you some photo's --

Kracer

I looked up your posts and had a look at your photos.  Bike looks great, I'm having trouble to find an engine, the roller hasn't even arrived yet though.
