just ordered an 04 kx 500  from seminole powersports, supposedly one of the last new in  the usa, being  shipped from oregon, arriving march 21.  Been riding around 30years,  currently race and tune a 85 mustang, 00 mustang, and just sold a 01 f150 hd.  current rides are,   85 mustang, 94 mustang gt, 00 gt, 99 f150, 77 rm 125, 87 honda trx, and 04 kx 500.  Hope you guys can help me live  with the new ride. :D

Yeah, you will like the big KX. Sweet mustang too!! I've really liked Mustangs alot, and have raced a few too. :-) Goodluck with the bike.

I really appreciate the responses.  Rode a thumper ktm moto-retard today, what a blast!  might have to get a set of wheels for the kx too.... :D

hahaha, cool.  I can't wait.  Called and harassed  Don today.  Any sources on motoretard parts?(wheels, Etc)

Finally! the bike came  in.  Left a symposium in Jax Fl and drove 3hrs to the dealership.  The bike arrived, the mechanic fired it, and promptly broke the crank keyway(woohoo!)   2hrs later it was replaced   on their tab  and I went for a ride.  Absolutely amazed how a 2 stroke can make that much power off idle.  Never really cracked it open  as sitting on the tank did not help keep the front wheel down  (6.0"   200lb)  I likey.
