In the sept 2012 dirt rider some dude purchased a 96 kx500 and did a half restoration and had Ronnie Lechin test it. It was a crap test because the bike ended up sucking a 16 year old crank seal and they ended up testing the bike like that.......Then they gave the bike a crap review on the power and handling. So then they rebuilt the motor and invited Lechin to ride it again and they say that the power was ok compared to the new 450 4 strokes. Let Ronnie ride my "TRUE FULL" restored engine by Motorrad 98 KX500 and let them dookie in their shorts!! I guess the only way to beat a 20 plus year old design is by running it with a 16 year old tired motor with new tires and graphics......... :-D
UPDATE: Contact was made with the owner of this KX500 and appearently there have been some major updates made to the bike. It would be bitchin to get Ronnie back on it for a new comparison......Out of respect for our new found friend I have "slightly" moddified my original post so that I don't appear to be such a douche bag. :-D

Dirtbike went down hill before I was born.... Once SuperHunky left... it went to s**t..
Dont you know that a fresh set of $15 plastics make a bike restored!? and run awesome!?
LIke to see Lechan swing a leg over my bike... Doordie's bike, BDI"s bike.... etc etc...
see what he can come up with.. besides stained shorts
