Post by: AFASTboy on August 10, 2004, 05:16:17 AM
I right now have 13/47 gearing and just would like to now what kind of top speed I could expect with 15/47and if I could go to a 16 tooth front if I wanted and would the stock chain except it just wanting to play around as i havent ridden a dirt bike at over 100mph but would love to just once,    Thanks.

Somewhere aroudn 110 - 112 the bikes aerodynamics stop it from getting anymore speed. With 15/45 and 15/42 both, I've run 111. No reason to go any smaller than a 45 rear. I would imagine 93 - 95 is attainable with a 15/47 combo.

What would a 16t front do?I mean with a 47 rear just wanting to swap out the countershaft for right now seems easier.

A 16? Probably eat the case area around the countershaft
