dent removal?
« on: December 29, 2011, 02:49:19 PM »
Has anyone used water/ice to remove a dent in a pipe? I know the presurize then heat method. But this is a nice new shiney pipe, I would like to keep it that way.
It's a pretty good one just under the radiator. TIA

I've read up on it a little although never actually trying it. It seems to work on 4 stroke header pipes after repeated freezings but my understanding is that it is not a good option for expansion chambers because of the welds and generally thinner material. Just what I've read.

This is why I'm asking first, maybe getting old might make me a little wiser after all.
