Double radiator

Hey guys im just thinking out loud here really but what the heck. I have 89 kx125 which u probably know has only 1 raiator so would it be possible or worthwhie putting a second radiator in place?
Would their be much work involed?
If you think this is stupid or if im talking sh*te, tell me straight out!

anything is possible. the best place to start is with a tank, i would say the best/easiest tank for this would be 88/89 250 or 88-04 500 as your stock seat will fit it and i think is may bolt straight on, use the 250 rads as they will bolt straight on to tank plastics. they you would have weld rad mounts on to the frame then plumb them in. in fact the more i think about this the more easy i think it is. would make a cool bike i think, yeah do it i would love to see it

Oh right it sounds relatively simple, i never realised the tank would need changing. The biggest problem would be getting the parts id say at a reasonable rate. I looked on ebay and their are parts in the uk(im irish btw)
It would be cool though with two rads and having shrouds on the right hand side.
Wishful thinking really ill get my powervalve sorted first and then perhaps have a look!

the 250 tanks command a high price as they fit the 500 and look better in some peoples opinion. the 500 tank would be cheaper but may look too big on a 125. i  break mx bikes in the u.k but dont have what you need at the moment. i will let you know if any thing comes in. i should be able to mock it up an see if will work as i have 125 88 frame

I emailed him for the year of the bike and prices for the rads,tank and shrouds so waiting for reply now. I doubt the bike in picture is the actual bike btw!!
Oh also is a 500 tank much bigger than a 125 tank?

that bike is an 86, rear disc, no sub frame. i think it will be hard to fit that to an 88/89 125.i still think you should base this on an 88/89 250

Ye but I doubt the bike in picture is the actual bike, its never that sunny in Ireland , so hopefully he just pulled some random picture from google.
Finding an 89/89 250 in Ireland would be hard, I was really suprised to see the above ad too, id say their is only a handful of 500's here at best

I talked to the guy, its an 88.
He has prov. sold the whole bike to a mate, who is sending it to Germany!

This is so true.
I buy and sell parts.... A lot of parts.... from other dealers and I can assure you that many of them even ones that have been in the business for many years still can't tell what year their bikes are let alone what year their parts are.

if your in the uk(ireland) i always phone up corby kawasaki with frame/engine number and brian will tell you what year/country of origin ...........dont know if this may help???

It makes no odds no anyway. The bike is sold, it wasnt the actual bike in pic.

nope ,just phoning from the states would be a nightmare + some names in the states are same as uk ,wasnt sure if there was somewhere in the states called ireland as kxriders is international no offence ment!

No bother man I was only messing , never taught that there could be an Ireland in the US
