You can tap into the powerjet circuit to run very basic lights that will get you through tech inspection at an enduro. I tapped into the circuit on my 07 KX250 to run lights since I race enduros. The system already has a built in voltage regulator, its built into the CDI box. I run a DHH Acerbis headlight and a Acerbis LED taillight/plate holder. You have to swap out the 35w MR16 bulbs in the headlight assy for LED MR16s, I only run one light. They use 4 watts and are available from Home Depot or Lowes. The older 04 and below KX250s (that used powerjet carbs) put out around 25w, the newer 05 and up put out less. Forget about night riding, you can putt back to your truck in a pinch though.
