At least he had the sense to bail before I landed on him...

Yeah, that kid is 18 years old and knows better.
Oh well, it only cost him a shift shaft that snapped off at the engine case.
The good thing is, I know where he can get another from  8-)

:-o  Dang I Hate when that happens...
Last guy I met in the woods like that had his Girlfriend and Dawg with him in his in a Fire Engine Red CJ-5 with a bikini top and red and white cooler strapped on a rack over the spare tire...
You don't forget stuff like that!
My son and I were climbing the hill and just ran off into the woods.
      Glad your O.K. Bro,

I didnt think it was a big hill either... till I watched you slide down it...

This is exactly the reason I refuse to ride others bikes...

Seems every time I do... it happens to be the time it blows up, busts a chain, slides down a hill due to some guy....

Yeah, it's not too steep until the last 8 feet or so.
When I saw him coming I managed to slow a bit so if you watch you see the bike only got about a foot off the ground.
If I hadn't have slowed down it would have been much worse.
I actually fell about 6 feet backwards but managed to twist around and land on my feet and butt.
I was trying to stop sliding but for some reason I just couldn't seem to make that happen.
I should have grabbed the bike on my way down....
The bike I borrowed came out undamaged.
After the ride it got detailed.
The owner was happy and knows I am good for any damage found later
Gloves??? Who needs gloves when you have hands of steel  :-D

Ohh man! That really sucks, too bad you weren't wearing all your gear eh?  :-P
Impressed you were more concerned if the kid was ok rather than your bike!

I never really thought about it but, parts can be replaced, flesh might or might not heal...
And even if it does heal, it might never be right again...
Thanks for the comment.

Your right, I could have, but since that was the first time I attempted that jump, I freaked out and slowed down cause I didn't want to have a mid air.
Oh well....
