Hey B.I.T.D.
What you are expieriencing is two different symptoms to two different problems.
The head gasket may in fact be leaking into your cooling system.
What happens is compression or combustion leaks into the cooling the system and quickly builds pressure.
This forces the coolant out the over flow.

The coolant in the transmission oil is most likely getting contaminated by the seals in the waterpump just like 89'er
suggested.

Thanks for your help  Mr Friar-Tuck. So I am better off buying a new head gasket and water pump seals.

Are these parts still available from Kwakasaki UK

Thanks

Something to consider is a Clymer manual for your bike BITD.   It will be the best money you can spend.
Take your time and look over the whole bike.  I found the best way to prepare a bike for the next riding season was to dis-assemble the bike down to the frame and start from the ground up.
Have a look at some of the posts by 1989kawasaki and his KX and CR.   I think he found the deeper he got in the bike the more he found needed attention.  However when complete, the bike needs usually nothing more than simple maintenance to stay up and running nicely!
Keep us informed of your progress!
