Any of you guys have tried the Team Green KX500 jetting?

Main: 170
clip: spot 2
pilot: 55
air screw: 2 turns out

 Yes I did when I first got the bike running. 
I think your going to find its a good place to start for guys new to the bike.

I'm thinking i'll give it a shot after break in.

I've been running the following and have been pretty happy with it. This was obviously pre-total rebuild.

165 main
55 pilot
3 clip
1.5 turns out

I just dont know if its "ideal". I'm also more of a trail rider vs all out racer that i'm expecting the team green specs to be for.

I'm a little worried about not running it hard enough all the time when i'm out with the kids or whatever and end up with it loading up and fouling plugs.

I'm no jetting guru, but i'm curious why you want to alter jetting ? Most of us achieve sweet jetting by simply leaning out the oem jetting a bit.  Just because "Team Green" runs XXXX for jets does NOT mean you bike will benifit from the same jetting. Mods, fuel , ambient air temps all play a factor in jetting. You also did not comment what needle you plan to use, but from my experiences a 170 main is going to bee too rich . (strictly just my opinions)

Team green like most desert Setups is a click rich on the main..   So it survives the XX mile WOT jaunt down the dry lake bed at 110mph

Also you havnt mentioned your altitude.. The entire reason for changing things up..

I think your higher than my sea level.. As my bike would melt down with a 165 main..

yea, sorry about that.

I'm usually riding around 2500-3000 ft. and live at about 1800 ft - With ambient temps anywhere from 30 deg - 95 deg F

I know there is the jetting chart here on the KXriders site that lists a 168 as what i should be running. I think i'm gonna give it a shot. I recall putting in a 168 before and having it fall on its face at about 3/4 throttle when the main came online.

I've ridden it in Ocotillo with the 165 and while i did not notice any detonation, i did notice it was running leaner than usual (obviously) and was extremely conservative with the throttle.

I put the Team Green jetting in after the recent rebuild with a windowed piston, and the settings were too rich across all throttle openings.  So far I have dropped the pilot to a 52, and will be dropping the main.  Just need some more tuning time.  Most of my riding is up to 1000m.

I found that to get the 0 - 1/4 throttle response right , I had to drop to a #52 pilot at 1 1/2 turns out . Anything more than a #52 pilot and the engine was a blubbering cripple at low rpm . I should also qualify this by adding that I have an FMF Gnarly pipe and an FMF Power Core silencer and I am at sea level . I also have the stock needle set in the second clip from the top .

Most of the jetting specs suggest a #55 - 58 pilot and my engine would be a complete useless pig set up like that . WAAAY too rich !!

Yeh, I started with the TG specs as well...170 main was too rich even in 100-108 temps...dropped to 168 and lost the lag in top end...now in Washington st at sea level,still not sure if I can improve on it.might try a 165 for elevation,on 2nd clip currently...I run a bp8es,which drops the electrode down into squish chamber more...an old trick that I'm not sure is relevant.Im running a fresh motor(which you know the TG specs are based on) but still dont blast thru the desert wide open all day.Boysen reeds,ProCircuit works pipe,hi flow filter...I highly recommend the jetting chart posted...it is extremely helpful.
