maddoggy bites the dust
« on: July 21, 2011, 07:27:15 AM »
well i have thought about leaving the site in the past but i just ignored the problems and kept coming back. when BDI left a while back it left a bit of an imbalance to the site. i have disliked some stuff that has happened on the site in the last few months and there really hasn't been much tech stuff or fab stuff to keep me interested. i just saw something on here today that made up my mind to exit. thanks to all that have posted the stuff i have learned from. the site just isn't what it was a few years ago when i was drawn here. like BDI said, i will still be lurking once in a while but won't be posting, not that anyone would notice. SEE YA ON THE TRAIL!!!!

What the hell is going on lately? Why are all the core members leaving? Stick around Maddoggy, the site wont be the same without you.

I agree explain Y. Its kinda like , "Well you guys are lame, so I'm gonna take all my toys & go home" While advertising it in big bold letters.

I'm a newbie so I know my vote counts for nill but the more techies we have the better the knowledge base, & the site. I really have no clue as to what happened with BDI & I should take the time to search his posts & figgure it out.
The 2 stroke motor hasn't really seen any major improvements since the late 70's "my oppinion", direct injection could change that though, I think. Basically though expecting new tech all the time is a little out there as it not being as developed as say a 4-stroke. A Hero member with 727 posts, that the kind of help us newbies need. Yeah you know probably most there is to know about a k5, stay & help us newbs, thats the "reward" of learning most there is to know. Like the good Friar always helping. The micro refinements that will come along the way are the fine tuning thats worth holding out for.
Sorry for the douchey comment. Rubber side sideways all the same

Now why would ya leave such a site. This site replaces that magazine dirt rider with all that 4 smoke lug jazz.   Maybe what maddoggy saw on here he didnt like was me.    I ask question after question after question after question after question after question after question.      Looks like this is another example of the 500cc duece stroke wilting away scrapyard to scrapyard as the minutes tick by.  Soon all youll see is 500 jiggawatt electrocross cycles.    Sounds fun

i really like seeing new questions. not the ones that have already been answered, I treat the site like a resource, not a blog spot. there is enough back and forth on youtube.  But then again, any kid with computer access can join. you dont even need a dirtbike.  WE ARE ALL LIKE MINDED PEOPLE HERE.
i'm staying as long as danger and tuck-o do

Not you too Marty! Not speaking for maddoggy, but it's not questions guys, it's people being jerks who deserve to be punched in the face. Drama. Kids who don't care about anyone but themselves. Drama. Disrespect. Did I mention drama?

I think the questions asked are the core fuel of the site.if someone asks a  question, whether it applies to your bike or not at that time,it gives you a chance to learn from somebody elses experiences, which stands you in good stead should you come across the same problems at a later date.As for the other, if ya wanna act like a kid, your looking for facebook......
And lo, I did loft the front wheel and carried it forth to the unbelievers, and cast it down before them and said unto them ''look now upon the might of my throttle control ye pitiful cretinous ones''
And the unbelievers did quake in their boots....
