They're OVER appreciated here. CR500's are even worse. Lots of guys asking $4500 for decent ones. There's just not many to be had around these parts. Very few sold. Everyone thinks they've got a priceless collectible.

Few issues..

1. You dont even list the year... that matters to some..

2. its Purple.

3. Sadly the market for the Big K5 sucks.   even here I can buy nice ones all day long for $1400..      even at that.. they sit on craigslist for months on end..

1. Fixed the year. it was listed just not at top.

2.Didn't you know the purple and green are the two fastest colors.

3. I've noticed. She has been listed almost 2 months.

Man, this really makes me wish I was living somewhere else. I would have so many more bikes.

It's very tough to find a good KX500 for under $3500 around here. JUNK is $1900. I've got more like $6500 in mine after buying and doing everything on it.

I'll sell you mine for the low low price of $3499.

Never said I didnt like the Purple.. Love the old Funky colored bikes...

Does mine look like that?  No.. Im more of a classic style guy...

BUT  the Purple I think hurts it on the market..   unless you find a die hard K5 guy that loves the old colors...  your removing yourself from a big part of the market...... Stupid kids with more money than brains that want a "fast bike man..."

I went riding with some friends the other day. An 08 KTM 300, 05 KTM 450, 07 YZ 450, and my 01 500.  My buddy with the 300 wanted to take my bike for a spin, so I let him.  I had been wanting to ride a 300 anyway and his is set up for expert class off road racing.  Solid bike, but the acceleration was laughable. It ran great but was not the same.  Everytime we would stop for a minute to let the rest of the group catch up he would have something negative to say about how it was not as good as his KTM.  But, he did not want to trade back.  We rode for about 45 minutes until I had to ask for my bike back.  But my 500 was not as cool as his 08 KTM 300......  I was seriously considering buying a 300 as a spare bike.  But, after some good quality seat time on one, I am going to keep looking.

This site is gonna kill me.  I saw a shirt the other day I should of bought.  It was Sockeye Salmon riding a cow and it said..." Cowasockeye".  I might have to go back and get it.
There aren't too many KTM rolling chassis around but I might have to keep my eye open Friar Tuck.
