How long should a replate & dome cut take?
« on: July 11, 2011, 12:31:47 PM »
Like the title says how long should a replate & head rechamber take. I sent off my jug at the end of February & I'm still waiting for it. I've paid in full with paypal & am half tempted to file a claim with them. I would probably be out my head jug wossner piston if I did & its been long enough that I wouldnt get all the funds back. I dont really want to be a dick but I'm beyond sick of waiting. I feel like I have a **** in my *** with no lube & I cant complain cause I'll just get pounded harder. A full 5 months. I did add some parts to my order part way through but they were just parts, powervalve, intake boot, & cases. Am I just being a winer. My last jug & head was with Eric Gorr 2 months & that seemed long. This guy seemed reputable & has answered my calls, but I was told a month & 1/2 ago it just needed to be shipped .
if I only had a pair, I could actually ride this thing

Where the hell did you send it to!  You have every right to be pissed. There is nothing worse than waitin for parts unable toride. Especially a cylinder while the motor is open, even though ya have a clean rag stuffed around crank it still feels like your gonna get foreign material in the crank. I sent my cylinder to Powerseal Usa. I got expedited service fpr 70$ more. Took exactly 7 days including the day i shipped it to have it back ib my possesion.   They said 2 weeks without it but i like tp keep ridin.    I hope you get it back soon!

Yeah I can see that who you send it to would make a difference. That is part of why I choose who I did. Someone respected in the KX comunity, who has a good reputation. I really dont think I'm gonna get taken, its just frustrating when you plan ahead so you can ride & then the season gets stollen.

I cant even imagine 2 1/2 years. I'd drive clear across the country & take it out their arse. Revenge  dont even have the words

I did even ask if I needed to pay more , a couple different times, even after it was deemed "square" by the seller.

When I sent my last one to forward motion it took  2 months & came back with the ports all slagged out & the reweld had some porrossity that wasnt cool. I really just want a good job this time. I realize quality does take more time but...
