2005 KX250 clutch exact same part numbers as 2002 KX500
« on: June 12, 2011, 07:38:41 AM »
I was looking at the part numbers for the 05 KX250 clutch and all of the part numbers are identical to the 2002 KX500 is this true? I will post links to the parts and if this is true I can get the entire hinson clutch assembly instead of only getting a hinson basket.

I can get the pressure plate, hub, and basket

Just an old guy that enjoys going fast, I was in the army for 6 years and bought my first K5 when I returned from basic training. I raced a yz60 from age 6 to 8  a kx80 from 8 to 12  a kx125 from 12-17 intermediate class on k5 which I've owned 3.

They are not the same, the first part of the pn is but the second part is differant.
A couple of 03 and 04 KXs, a few YZs, 3 PE 400s, a DR and a TS.

the full part number is 9 digits long, the first 5 shown on the diagrams determine what the part is. i.e all clutch baskets weather from a kx80 or kx 500 will have the same first 5 digits, its the last 4 that count. the kx 500 does share some clutch parts with 87 - 91 250
