Service Honda/Kawasaki update
« on: June 02, 2011, 05:32:45 AM »
S***,D***,F***. was told for the last six weeks every thing was on schedule with my bike build, through numberous email and calls. They told me I would get notified a week before delivery. Week seven is here no call. That's supposed to be as long as it takes. Just got off the phone to find out about my bike and they tell me my bike is supposed to go out on the 29th of this month. That's more than 10 weeks. I understand business because I own one. I hope this isn't a sign of things to come. It's not the date as much as the awful lack of keeping me informed of the "Real Date" The bike is obviously not on schedule would have been nice to know. What a let down. If you just ordered a 500 AF don't hold your breath!

Sorry to hear SH is giving you the Business...
AJ used to post here and another 500 site before all his time got consumed in the shop.
A.J. Waggoner  was the guy in charge of the Shop/ builds for all their Special Edition creations and was always a straight shooter.  Maybe he would give you the reason for the situation.  Let me see if I can find his e-mail.

   Best I can do,
AJ is not in charge of the business, but He may be able to shed some light on what's going on.

Thanks I appreciate that. I'm usually not one to complain just don't like to be lied to. Got an email a week ago saying it's on schedule. Go figure

Could the disaster in Japan be the hold up? Maybe some of the parts are tough to get.
A couple of 03 and 04 KXs, a few YZs, 3 PE 400s, a DR and a TS.

Thought about that also, but got an email a week ago that bikes are being completed on time. It was in regards to my bike. Obviously not the case. I have an email in to AJ, we'll see.

Got an email back from AJ. Told me the situation about part availability. Which I understand is beyond everybody's control. He said he was sorry for communication errors. You were right, he is a strait shooter and I was impressed with the response time from him. So I had resigned to wait a few more weeks. Got an email today telling me my bike was ready!! They are definitely a class act. I will give you guys a ride report hopefully next week. I will try to give a unbiased comparison between it, my 2004 kx 500 and my 2011 YZ 450F. I haven't been able to find a good report online anywhere. Santa's coming!!

  Thanks for the update Green,
I'm sorry it had to come to having to track down A.J.     Hopefully it will have been worth the wait..
KXPegger had some issues with his bike, I believe he has almost all the bugs worked out.
