That there looks alot like the singletrack we ride up here. The soil has alot more red clay in it but other than that it looks about the same. Every once in awhile you get into third abit but mostly 1 & 2nd with stock gearing.
That's why I went with alot taller sprockets. I can keep it in third and just work the throttle, and in the really rocky/muddy I can turn up the idle and Idle along at a crawl.
I realize you have alot of fast desert and you have to ride in to the singletrack like that so 13t front sprocket would slow you down way too much.
