Im trying to figure out the same thing... :?  I have just about everything I need except my 17mm drill bit which is a pain in the butt to find!!!

I found a 17MM drill bit with a long arbor on eBay.
The biggest problem is that they are slightly under 17MM (16.96mm) and the holes on your frame measure close to 17.05MM.
So, you may have to ream it a bit once you drill them.
Mine now fits snug but by hand.
However, the 43/64" drill bit (0.672") equals 17.07MM and I think would be a better choice.

The four stroke engine: That's one stroke for producing power and three for wearing the engine out.

I have only found the 17mm on ebay and online but nowere local..what would my best bet be with getting my hands on the 43/64" bit? Must be a more common size being american?

99-02 KX 250 boot worked perfect with an aluminum adapter plate to adapt it to the airbox. 2008 KX 450F chassis. Good luck.
