Oh NO, I did it again...
« on: April 06, 2011, 05:04:42 PM »
Hey there,

so today I only went to a local dealer to pick up the last parts for my 91 KX250 and as we were talking he said "I got to ask you a question, follow me" so I went with him around the shop and there was a 88 KX250, he said "is this what you are building?" I said, "no but I have one in parts as well", so long story short I'll be picking it up in the next days hehe.

Got it for $200 cad, it has a good engine and all the major parts except a silencer and rear wheel+ front tire and chain. Almost all the missing parts I pretty much have from the other 88 parts bike except a silencer and chain . I told my wife it was going to be for her, since she requested a bike a while ago, might as well just get a real bike lol.

So that will be another fun project, I'll have pics up as soon as I bring it home :-D

i had that problem with cr500s for a while. i became a magnet for them. every broken one within 300 miles had to end up at my house it seemed. i think in one month i aquired 6 cr500s. usually where i live they don't exist.
have fun on the new build.

Ha nice 6 in one month, that must be a record!

So today I picked it up, here are some pics, needs a good cleaning and TLC, shouldn't take me too long to get that one ready to ride:
