And my brother got a old beat up coke machine that didnt work and he fixed it up  and now when Im thirsty workin on the kx I can always get a coke and many other flavors! haha

Also tomorrow I am probably selling my ktm for 900ish to buy another monster! Probably a 2001 yamaha blaster...I was thinking about a kx100 or kx80 but kx80 would be a tiny bigger and kx100's I cant find anywhere and anyways I wanna try a quad...SO the blaster is 900...Anyone here try one out before? I heard that the brakes go fast...but overall power or anything?

Thanks guys.

My only concerns with the quads and my boys was the weight.
I didn't think the boys would be able to get the quad off themselves if it fell on them.  The other thing was the area we live has lots of hills. I was afraid of the quad falling/following them down a hill and not being able to get the bike off of themselves.   I know lots of guys who have quads and their kids ride and love'em.
I may be forced to ride one if the doc says my new suspension won't stand up to a dirtbike.

I really wish you would get some good safety equipment before you really get hurt.
There are lots of guys here who can attest they might not be here today if it weren't for their gear.
Read some on jetting, then you can verify or manipulate the timing, that's what's holding back your kx.
     Take Care Budddy,

get yourself a full body back/chest/arm all in one thingy.and make sure you lids in good shape.if your wearing them, chances are you may never need them.but you can guarantee if you arent wearing them you will end up wishing you were.I got knocked off a mountain bike at 45 mph once,on tarmac, without even a t shirt.the resulting half inch thick scab over bits of gravel and dirt was not pretty, and tickled like hell.and that was without petrol propulsion.safety first.K.
And lo, I did loft the front wheel and carried it forth to the unbelievers, and cast it down before them and said unto them ''look now upon the might of my throttle control ye pitiful cretinous ones''
And the unbelievers did quake in their boots....

Yeah the rims are the best part of my bike next to the engine as in looks...Since I have so much invested in this bike I might as well make it perfect and try to buy kawasaki lime green and the silver touch up paint cause my bike definetely needs touch up paint. ALso my neighbor said he use to have a yamaha blaster and he loved it but he said to get sunoco and put it at 53 octane? what in the world does that mean haha and hes also like you gotta jet it...

ya same here, i have thousands into my bike and i am going further to make it 110% perfect , i will get a new rear fender, mudlfap , gas tank, front fender, seat, powder coat frame and swing arm, restore the lower fork legs , Apply the correct 1989 uni trak decals to the swingarm , oem shifter , take the wheels apart and polish the rims and spokes, and finally a new sprocket cover.

yes i know this will be quite expensive, but the end result will be phenomenal  :-o :-o :-o :-o :-o
and its NOT going to make the bike faster or anything like that.

Dang! lots of money!! I just need work on the two side fender white stickers and the swingarm paint and the frame paint...then the oxidation on the spokes..are the spokes suppose to be chrome?...after all that my bike will be near perfect...also there is always after a ride a big splatter of oil or something on the shifter pedal and on the frame by that spot...I think the chain is just throwing sludge over there i guess?

just took off the old ugly chain and bought a brand new pre stretched gold chain for the kx! it was 25 bucks and will make the bike look much better...do I have to lubricate the chain...I hate when I touch the chain and I get a ton of grease on my hand...I dont think it will need lubrication if the links move smoothly...am I correct? I want the chain to look new without any grease so it looks clean.

Why not use the money to buy gas, and riding gear...... and go ride your KX.....

I have several friends that have to have EVERY single shiny part for their bikes... but when it comes time to go ride, they first dont have enough money to go... and second if they do, are wearing an old Tshirt, and a 10yr old helmet....

But their bike has every Hop Up, Dirtbike Magazine told them they needed....

I decided on a very nice 2005 yz85. It has a mad brothers suspension on it and the guy said that suspension is 2000 new and it has renthal bars, renthal pegs and other upgrades. all new fenders and its 1200 but I got them down to 1000. I will be picking it up saturday or sunday of next week! I bet you I will still enjoy my kx much more! Tuck, how are you doing on the surgery? feelin better? I still gotta get you a gift.
