New ride
« on: April 04, 2011, 09:22:56 AM »
Hello
It has been awhile... I picked up a new toy and I need some help
The frame is 1992 and the engine is 1986 with Pro Circuit exhaust...It was a hill climber and the swingarm has been stretched approx 6 or so inches...
My questions
1. What needs to be done to fit the 86 end into the 92 frame?
2. Does anyone have a 92 stock swinger they want to move?
My statement... this makes the 88 K5 seem like a KX80 regarding starting... Holy cow does this thing make the leg work...
Pics to follow soon
Regards
oh yeah and disregard this same post in the (vin) of bike portion of thread... I messed up.. I tried to delete but was able to...

Some pics of the bike
It has what I believe to be 450 front and rear fenders.. I also have some shrouds and the original 92 plastic..I think I do at least...

1986   KX500   Engine ID   kx500BE001801-004100
Yep, it's an 86.
The four stroke engine: That's one stroke for producing power and three for wearing the engine out.
