i can't believe i didn't catch this before. With all the talking with the oldguy with the stator being different. If the flywheels are not side by side you more then likely wont catch it.

And now that I have seen that, I can see the differance in all the pictures as well..

I still wonder WHY they changed...

So the top(narrower) is 90-91?
2000 KX500
2005 XR650L

Neither are stock, and both are great desert bikes.

Other way around.
F4T107 is the newer one.
F4T102 is the older one.
Riding KX500's since 1984 (still have it)
