Good by to kx riders
« on: March 04, 2011, 07:24:04 AM »
Well I have been thinking about this for the last couple days so here it goes. I really think I'm done here, It's been real and It's been fun. I don't think I have much more to offer to the site and I'm sure not getting anything positive from the site. There are a lot of cool people here and even more cool people have come and gone. I'm going to linger for a bit just incase anyone wants to say goodbye or good riddance. Thank you Danger for the great site you provide and thank you Paul for the great site you started. I have learned a lot here about social interaction, granted it was a steep learning curve for me. I'm not used to not just being able to hit some one in the mouth for trash talk so on that level the site has helped me to mature some. This is the only site I have ever really belonged to. The wife and kid set me up a facebook account so maybe I will give that a try for a bit. smoke every cigarette like It's your last and ride like you stole something

Don't go, there is a lot of good guys, and a lot of people that can benifit from you being here. There is some drama coming to a head right now, but we will all get past it soon. Stick around, you'll be glad you did!!

BTW I have a great BLT recipe I'm going to post up in the grilled cheese section.......

BDI,
Sorry to hear your thoughts of leaving the forum & think I understand how you feel, as I feel as I have lost a Very Good Friend in this. Something to think on "Who will be our resident A$$HOLE" for the site? You have done well in regards  :-D. I also was a Very Hot Head in my younger days & time, along with good guidance, has helped alot, & with the majority of us being AARP cardholders (A.K.A. Old Farts) you are now in the position of being able to "Pay It Back" to the younger whipper snappers on here as they will relate to you alot easier than someone on here older than their Dad.
You also have made alot of Good Post showing "How To" & sure there is much more floating around up there that you can share & yes I just recieved my gaskets from Cometic Just like the ones you shared the info about. I also have the 250 steel frame that I am still trying to get together & sure you have all the answers to the questions.
If you must go, I understand, but I am sure that everyone here would want you to hang out (& see that KLX to completion). :-D

Enjoy Today!
DoldGuy

My vote is for you to stay.
No matter where you go or how hard you try there will always be some drama to deal with.
In my opinion, this site is well worth staying.
Don't let the foibles of some to ruin it for you.

i say don't do it. IMO the site would be loosing a lot. every site has its d-bags and drama. it would be cool if kxriders had the ignore button. i go on a car site some times that has a lot of d-bags so there is a ignore button. so say you don't want to hear anything kx560 has to say you just click the ignore button on him and when your looking at threads any post kx560 has in that thread doesn't show up at all like its not even there. eventually the d-bag realizes no one responds to his posts (because everyone hit the ignore button) and goes away. you could simple chose to ignore these post any way but its a lot easier when you simply can see them.

what did kx560 do?
kx560 threw money at a motor that he couldn't make run right. kx560 does not have a clue how to build this motor on his own, and he does not have any idea how to fine tune it even if it does run. money is all he ever had. no character,no engine skills and no ability to maintain the bike in any way. then he found this site and found stewart and sent the motor to him for a complete re-do the right way. i have absolutely no doubt that stewart built the motor that would perform. when he got the motor back he made some changes and was shocked that it did not perform as expected. this is when he started dragging stewart through the mud and started this whole site meltdown. stewart didn't want to hang around and continue with the bashing so he left the site and consequently alot of people were left hanging on parts work and engine builds. we are talking 2 years of no work being done for these guys who put alot of time and investment forward. trust me, its a mess that will hang over this site for a long time. its a bad deal for the site owner. danger did nothing but good for us and this is how the site turned out, thanks to a total scum bag.

I dont know what happened but I will say that this is the best site I have ever belonged to and the advice that you guys give me has helped out so much. this site and the people have kept my bike running and without the great help my bike would be ass out sitting in the garage. Dude I say do what you have to do as a man but dont let one person make that for you!!

Wow what an asshole.  Maybe I'm not the best engine builder in the world but that's what I paid for. I have owned 2 strokes my whole life and know how to jet. I got carried away a few times going lean for more juice but I'll be the first to admit it.  Sorry to show you all that your god is not perfect but I don't really feel too bad
