Curious for all those with balanced cranks.  What balance factor you guys set at...

I know my husky is set at 70%.  Bit high. as it has a strange vibe to play nice with chassis harmonics..

.  Think the big k5 would be happy at 55%? 50%?    I think that is in the ballpark.?

what RPM range was that for?   Hows it feel in the 3-6000 range?

WHat i've seen is that fourstroke have a higher balance factor, seen a Husaberg with 85% factor.

i dont know but i could probably find out. i have not run  the engine yet so i dont know. shouldn't be too long before its up and running though. sorry i cant help more

I have read that stock is 60%.  Now how reliable that is... Dunno

If I had a crank that wasn't modified (both mine have stuffers of some sort) I'd measure it and find out..

But from my past experiences I think 55% may be the way to go.  With what this motor will be...    I bet I'm WAY OFF from stock by the time I add up stuffers, wiseco piston etc....


Was just hoping for real world experience on the K5 specifically

Jonny. Any way you can call up the guys that did yours and ask what tpm range that was for?
