Parts washer, which one?
« on: January 27, 2011, 05:37:19 PM »
There are many different parts washers on the market.
I need one that fits many parameters.
Due to environmental concerns the solvent type are out of the question.
What we have settled on is the Hot Water cleaners with bio degradable detergent.
I saw a demo of  Landa SJ-15

It cleans the parts decently.
Using an acid based cleaner does a better job but we have an environmental problem with those kinds.
So, we need one that is not too large, uses 230 3 phase, and is the hot water type.
I know that some here have used different parts washers.
What have you used and what do you like?
Thanks!

Check this out.  It is about as dangerous as soapy water.  I bought one for my Air Station to was helicopter parts and does a great job and is safe and bio friendly.
Napa Auto Parts is also a dealer.

Thanks Alex.
That would have been fine a few years ago but we are looking for a load, set the timer and forget it washer.
I should have said that a bit sooner.
We have discovered that it would save us 2-3 hours per bike,
Since we do about 150 bikes a year you can see how we would save a lot of dough

The bad part of most acid based washers is that any aluminum  will neutralize the cleaner.  Something to be sure of.  I will do some looking too.
