Hello
« on: January 06, 2011, 06:05:02 AM »
Sorry, I haven't introduced myself yet. I live in the Pacific Northwest. My normal ride is an 06 KX250F, but have had an 86 KX500 that has been passed around between the brothers. We call it the Hulk, because it is the strongest their is, full of anger, and wants to smash.
I have gotten into my head that I want to tear it down and build it back up, not to total stock, but to clean, nice, and reliable. As it is an 86, parts are hard to come by. I haven't even thought about the engine yet, and am just starting on the frame/suspension. This site has proved to be a valuable resource in getting my ducks in a row, and I look forward to posting my progress and picking the brains of my fellow KX's. So hello and wish me luck!

Adam

Welcome to KX Riders.
That is a cool name.
I ride a 2K 5K
I also have a 07 KX250F that I am putting an 04 K5 engine into.
Since the Hulk is taken I will have to come up with something else  :?
Post pics of your progress.
The four stroke engine: That's one stroke for producing power and three for wearing the engine out.

 Hey Adam,
Thanks for taking the time to sign in / up.  I'm sure it helps keep the boss interested in keeping the site up and running!
There should be plenty here to help you get the info you need to get the bike re-built anywhere from mild to wild.
  Welcome!
