How is this better than a stock ignition? I don't doubt that it is, but can someone explain it scientifically? What makes it generates more spark power, what makes it more realiable? I thought stock systems are supposed to be pretty good? This is half the price of stock parts, I'm not interested in lights yet, but maybe a fan. I had a new in box cdi be the root of my problems, and I am looking for an upgrade, just seeing if this was it?

Tanks.

Well I do have to say the bikes I have seen with Mr Wards goods do rev more then mine being a stock 1990 a lot more crisp and responsive you would be amazed at the diff and when I have the cash I will be getting one my self and this is all from first hand experience not here say.

Can it be timed without the dial indicator by trial and error? It is the "one time" use tool a must? I am debating the upgrade. How much to ship to 99801?

Newly rebuilt motor with powerdynamo ignition (timed at 90,000 BTC), Smart carb, Pinsonnault 524 bigbore ported, all new bearings and seals, new connecting rod and bearings. When it finally starts (50 Kicks Occasional light backfire every 10 kicks) it runs sounds and idles awesome. Do you think 90,000 is to far advanced?

Find me a cheap 85 to buy and I'm on it  :-D
