kx 125 wont idle

my 125 boggs out and wont idle. need some advice. i got carbon reeds and fmf gold.

What year is your bike and have you ran a compression test on it?
The four stroke engine: That's one stroke for producing power and three for wearing the engine out.

It start hard? How's the plug look? When's it bog?  I'd be doing a plug, then a compression test, leak down test if compressions low (chances would be piston and rings but I've seen base gaskets leak and have this issue), clean carb.  Then if that doesn't help I'd look into the ignition system.

is this something that has just started happening, im am thinking piston/rings crank seal or air leak

My best guess would be an air leak between the carb and cylinder. it would explain the bogging and idle problems.

i think id pop the exhaust off and poke a torch in see what sort of condition the pistons in , might be picking up... jetting wrong id start with the real simple things first before any tech stuff , fuel supply ok , cack in the bottom of the carb ?
