Cracked Rims
« on: November 09, 2010, 08:25:58 AM »
My 86 has a cracked rear rim, the hubs and spokes are in good shape. Will any aftermarket rim (2.15X18, I believe 36hole) work? Or is there more to it than size and spoke number?

I re-laced my 86 with the standard rim and it was fine.

I think your right, a standard rim should fit.
However, you may want to check with these guys:

These guys have done my stuff for years and do excellent work.
Then again, you probably already knew that  :-D
The four stroke engine: That's one stroke for producing power and three for wearing the engine out.

Just got these, really nice set.  They can build them to any colors/specs you want.  Also, many single rims for the K5 on ebay....
