The guy who got me back into dirt bikes worked at a Kawasaki dealership back in the day, so I remember riding the late 70's kx's. I've been doing this vintage thing for three years now, really having a blast.
My red bikes are drum braked, piston ported non exhaust port valved. Thought I'd move up a little bit.
My bud just picked up an 85 250 kx to ride the class. So I'm looking forward to next year.

Green bikes, green beer, life is good.

 Hey Maico,
Welcome to the best dirtbike site on the web!!
I think you'll find this is one of the most ecumenical "Kawasaki" sites in cyberspace.
Yes, we do ride green, Yes there are some die hard Kawasaki guys.  However flaming a guy who rides a Honda crf230 with his girlfriend on weekends who rides a klx 110 won't get read the riot act, and will get some help if he needs it.
Anyways... Glad to have you with us,

Thanks FT

The site appears to be populated by gentlemen, with loads of knowledge. I'm sure I'll be spending some time here.

Some info
53rd birthday this month. Live in the bike unfriendly state of new jersey. Up until three years ago stopped riding in 82 due to injuries. Not one of the fast guys, but having a great time at vintage, it's like sex , you don't have to be good at it to enjoy it.

I bought a kx from a guy who wants to do some vintage racing. He bought the bike from a guy who woods rode it. I couldn't really gas the bike, but in second gear right off idle it wanted to go. This things got some motor. So I look forward to power valves radiators and disc brakes. The guy had just rebuilt the shock and new race tech springs in the front. We weigh  about the same so my suspension springing is taken care of.Came with fmf gnarly torque pipe and silencer.
I have an 04 450 honda that play ride with. i wanted to see how much things have evolved. I like that bike too.
