revloc or recluze for the 500

I have a 99 500 and i would like a revloc or recluze auto clutch, anybody ever get one in or install one from a 250.

I am in the middle of testing for Revloc on the Dynaring for the KX500.  A little more tweeking and I think it will be ready.
I will let you all know how it goes.

Any updates on the Dynaring Alex?

Curious how it holds up to the 500. As on advrider the guy from revloc says they are keeping them for 450cc and under bikes..

The weather is clearing and I will have my bike back together soon.  I am going to put it in after my break in.  One more tweek and I think I will have it.  We will see.

Revloc Dynaring is a no go.  It never really hooked up all the way.  It took a lot of adjustment and after 26 miles in the woods I was glad I had 60 wt in my gearbox.  The only benefit would be stopping and going on a slope and going again without touching the clutch lever.  I was glad I could take it back to manual mode or I would not have made it back to the truck.  With the 38oz flywheel on my MZB it tractors down so good that an automatic clutch is not worth it.  I don't think it makes me a better rider.  I am running an ASV C6 clutch lever and a well routed new cable and the clutch pull it just fine for me in the woods.  I am also running a Barnett clutch with heavy springs.

So that's my report.  Ask anymore follow up questions if you would like.

Alex - thanks for the reply. This is the information needed to decide which direction to head. Your additional details about your current set up are great. I'll keep with the manual and look to improve/upgrade the internals, lever, and cable. I'm toying with a Magura hydraulic set up, but have not finished my shopping or pricing.

Thanks again for the reply. It is most helpful. And I may hit you up with additional questions.

For the money and reliability I would stay with the cable.  The ASV C6 is a great clutch assy and well worth the money, and cheaper than the hydro unit.

On my 04 KX250/500 conversion I used a MSR clutch lever and perch with a bearing in the pivot and has 2 cable mounting holes. Its not the Raptor with the 3 holes. Along with decreasing the radius of the steel tube on the clutch cable, the 04 250 clutch cable runs in front of the left radiator so the 500 must also, my clutch pull is very easy. The perch/lever is about $40. Im not sure that the cable can be routed on the 500 chassis in the same manner but I dont see why not. Ill try to post some pics later on. It allows for a less severe bend above the radiator and gives the cable a more straight shot to the perch which equals less friction. I used a brake line tubing bender to decrease the radius.
A couple of 03 and 04 KXs, a few YZs, 3 PE 400s, a DR and a TS.
