Closest Plastic to OEM?
« on: November 14, 2010, 09:18:19 AM »
I'm looking at replacing all the plastic except my stock green tank.  So the only thing I need to match the plastics to is the tank.  What manufacturer has the closest to stock Kawasaki Green plastic?  I'm looking at UFO currently, do they match up?

Thanks.

they will all match ok when you buy them, the question is will they match after 6 months of sun light on them. the other thing to remember is kawasaki green has changed a few times over the years, i dont know when but i know it did. i think the newer your bike the better the chance of a good match. i break/part out  mx bikes and i can say that the plastics that fade the worst are the ones that say made in italy and the best are japanese
hope this helps a little

YES
UFO has always made the best replacement plastic, if OEM is out.
Depending on where you buy your OEM parts it's not that much more (sometimes)
Stay away from maier you won't like it.
Good luck

OEM is about $80 to $100 more than UFO for what I want.  So the question is, do I want to spend the extra for the OEM plastics?  Decisions, decisions.

I just bought a set of UFO from MotoSport for $110.  It looks great!

I much prefer UFO over Acerbis. It all looks ok when new, but the Acerbis fades a funny color.
