My uncle had his stock piston for 12 years in his 92, and was awsom.
Is it really a FMF Ram Valve from a kx250??
And did it tame the bike or take it's life out??? I would like to make mine easyer to ride.
This would be an easy way.

it didnt rob the bike of any power. The ram valve made the bike smooth, but felt slow. It wouldnt rev out fast. it made the bike mellow all around, without robbing the power. It worked good, but I wanted the fast, pull your arms out type power!

Let me know if you want to try the ram valve. Im trying to sell it. I know I will never use it....

Doug
You get the lawn done for the lady. I tested the blade today alittle and picked up signal about the same at 5/8 throttle. The filter testing came out just like we talked. The filter i use flowed the same as a 2 1/2" id tube with no filter on it.

I just picked up a v-force reed set and included in the package was a insert that makes the intake side smaller.
It is a lot like the picture you have of the reed in the  begining of this subject.
Keep looking,  I`m sure the bike will soon be pulling your arms out of thier sockets.
