for sale? really?
« on: August 13, 2010, 03:59:59 AM »
anyone else have trouble buying crap from other members? i have tried to purchase several items from some members here after they said they wanted to sell the stuff and then they never follow through. really frustrating! i have had a couple offers(thanks for those offers by the way) that i have turned down due to my own decision to go a different route on the project. i feel that if you don't really want to sell your stuff then don't offer it up for sale and then ignore the offers to purchase. i miss the old days on this site, the B.S. was a whole lot less. i don't hang out on this site much anymore cause i hate having to wade through the bull crap to get to the meat and potatoes. (i'm not doggin your site danger, just the musty smellin air around here lately)

I don't like to hear that maddog, so far all my dealings with stewart, icemank5, and a guy out of Canada were great straightup dealings. I hesitate to sell my own stuff cause I'm here and there to much to be reliable on the quick turn around of transactions like I have received from these guys.

These are things you run into once a site becomes bigger and has larger numbers of members. It is what it is. I wouldn't let that keep you from hanging out here on this forum. Your right when I first joined it was a tight family like feel, but hey the site had to grow and things change. I still visit this site more than others (even my own sites)  :-D

Second that....  I tried to buy a Fatty for the K5 off a guy on this forum.  He said it was in great shape etc... I told him i needed to see detailed pics first then he started to back peddle.  "Well its a little beat up etc..  I insisted on pics and then he wouldn't respond to me.

Positive Report - nothing but good luck so far.   EVERYONE that I've met and dealt with from this site have been "class act"

I hope to keep the "luck" going!

same goes for me.

I'm guilty of posting things for sale and forgetting I did.
Reason I always follow up replys in for sale sections with a pm. In case someone else forgets also
