I digress, to say Maxima 927 was developed for Ricky Carmichael. The article I was referring to is in Motocross Action July 2009, page 74 where it states that "Super oil actually begin it's life as a two-stroke pre-mix. When Ricky Carmichael raced a Suzuki RM250 two-stroke, Roger Decoster looked into every possible way to increase performance. He discovered hidden horsepower in premix oil. With the help of Maxima, a special blend of two-stroke oil gave Ricky two more horsepower." I still think it is the Castor 927 pro-series (the latest & greatest blend). As to Maxima Castor gumming up motors, I run it between 32:1 and 40:1 depending on displacement with a properly jetted motor, and it works fine for me
