39mm PWK vs. 40mm Lectron
« on: July 28, 2010, 08:38:59 AM »
Opinions?  I know that 44 is considered "optimal" for a KX5, but this is going in a quad, and I have an opportunity to buy a decent, clean, power-jet-equipped Lectron at a reasonable price.  Or should I stick to my original game plan and get a 39mm PWK Airstryker?

Opinions?  Set-up suggestions?  Thoughts?

Thanks! :-D

your choice  is the standard  39.5mm pwk,  or the Airstriker pwk only avail in 38mm ,or your 40mm,  Not sure what what your riding needs are[low down power or top end]    The 39.5mm PWK is not a airstriker  but  you can get it quad vent ofen fitted to alot of ktm

Dave, thanks for the input--and you are correct, I am looking at a quad-vented 39 PWK, without the Airstryker "vanes."  I bought a "stock" 39 PWK, but also have an opportunity to buy a 40mm Lectron with a  powerjet.  Just looking for guidance.

sorry mate cant give u much advice  on the lectron [what controls the powerjet??]
on the 39.5mm pwk quadvent dont really know the advantage as the extra vents just tee into  the original two.
buying a second hand quadvent you may stand a better chance of gettining a carb in better condition due it being a newer design

RB-Designs is overboring the PWK airstrykers.  :-D
