Hey T,
Just turn the clickers all the way one direction until the clicker stops, start turning the adjuster the other direction while counting the # of clicks.
(if you start counting the # of clicks as you move the first time you can always just put it back)
I know this sounds silly, but... get a small notebook and start writing down your adjustments and how the suspension worked. It's way too easy to get distracted or forget where you started

And just like any other tuning, one adjustment at a time so as not to muddle your results!
You might also consider setting the sag (for your weight with gear) before making any adjustments. It's just so you have a baseline to start from.
