i have an older yamaha warrior that is in primo condition but i have used the engine very hard. the engine still runs ok, but i have been considering  a re-power. i have an opportunity to purchase a 02 yamaha R6 for $400.00 that has been laid down and the body is in very poor condition. have any of you guys ever converted anything over to an R6. i think it could make a really sweet dune machine with maybe a 4 -6 inch extended swing arm. there are several videos on youtube of quads converted to R6 power plants. what do you guys think?

Ive seen banshees with r1 motors and they straight up rip! if you have the dough for the motor and an open chassis go for it!. i dont think it would be that great for jumping or riding all over the dunes but the hills would sure be fun.

i appologize for the error but it is not an r1 it is an r6 donor. i knew it was an r6 but for some reason i kept thinking r1, sorry for the mistake. even though its only a 600, i still think it would still be a fun build and i think it would rip.
