NorCal MX
« on: April 08, 2010, 12:07:00 PM »
Hey guys, I'm new to this site and I am very pleased with what I've seen so far.
I currently ride an '08 KLX450 for crosscountry and desert but will be getting a
KX450 for mx. This looks like my kind of site because I am also interested in a
KX500af conversion. I am just getting back into mx up here in NorCal and I'm
not sure what clubs still run up here.

Welcome scmoto403!  How do you like the klx450?
If some is good, and more is better, then too much is JUST RIGHT!  B.O.

It's a great bike. Suspension by Race Tech, Air box and smog mods, FMF Power Bomb with a Q-4 spark arrester
Head light removed and replaced with KX front plate. Runs great now that it can breath. Also has an IMS 3.1 gal.
tank and a GPR V1 stabilizer with Pro-Taper bars and Ride PG graphics

 Welcome SC,
Well if you're thinking about "Converting". 8-)..This is the place you can get some help.
The guys here have been the most help with the least attitude that I've been privy to, and you don't have to worry about your wife and kids looking over your shoulder
Glad you found yer way over.

Thanks Tuck. I'm in Santa Cruz, I will be in Shasta next weekend 4/17-18/10 for the District 36 Hare Scrambles. My
friends ride in the Sr. A class and I will be pitting for them.

 Cool!
I've been down to Shast Dam area several times with my boys when they were younger.
I'll look for when and where the Race is and see if I can get down.   Denaro's and work are the only limiting factor...and  I  usually find myself on the wrong end of the stick...  I work for the railroad so I don't have a "real schedule"
I'll see what I can do..
