Slowly getting there part 2.
« on: April 03, 2010, 05:14:42 AM »

Ok mounted the radiators this afternoon not a bad fit and im sure you will agree these will look great when finished.

Engine wise disaster  :x split the kx 250 f1 engine no real surprises kept one side of the crank and the gearset in the other side casing so not to loose anything. Sorsed all the bearings from the US and the counter shaft bearing from Japan . Got a new Pro X piston and all the seals and gaskets.

Removed the crank from the side casing only to find someone had took a hammer to the bearing and a angle grinder the the crank  also someone had also damaged the gearset with a hammer or something similar the side casing had also took a hit  :x. so basicly the
engine is scrap.

So last week i got me one of these  :-D

This starts 2nd kick from cold no rattles just nice clean noise so this engine will be stripped and rebuild ready for the summer  :-D

 Hey Pac,
Slow is better than nothing  :-)   You know it is being put together Right.   It won't seem so bad now that you have another bike to ride while that one is undergoing a re-bulild.
  Hang in there!
