Has anyone had a rear shock rebuilt for a kx 500 and if so about how much did it run ya ? I had a buddy want to sell me a shock off a kx250 but i dont think it will work , my shock is currently bouncey like a pogo stick and leaking oil. Rebuild or seals ?

It's just general maintenance, really. I have blown the shock just starting it before. It's around 100 bucks for the seal, oil and nitrogen, around here.

Yea, Thanks . It runs about 170.00 here for new head seals , oil , and charge. It was still holding a charge , just leaking oil . I didn't know you had to drop the sub frame to get that rear shock out , i was trying to get the air box out and that wasn't happening.  :| Got it out and dropping it off tomorrow to a local shop.

I just had mine rebuilt with a new head seal and oil, it only cost me 129.00 and took the local shop one day. I think they could have used thicker oil or suggested a revalve. :-D
