My New Bike ; Part two
« on: February 24, 2004, 04:03:10 PM »
Due to inclement Weather, it's the Height of Summer here in NZ but it's done nothing but Rain, I've only managed to clock up about 90 min on my '04. I have a PC Pipe installed and I've leaned the Needle and the Pilot. I Have a PC Silencer but but I'm running the Stock Item currently.
Also Clear No-Scuff is on the Tank and Shrouds along with the Pro-Tapers and Moose Hand guards, Looking Good and ready to go! I've heard about V-Force Reeds, Who can tell me what effect these have on the Bikes, Power, Torque, Longevity, Reliability etc and what are the Best Current Options on the Market? I had a set of Std Boysen's on my '97 and was happy with the Mid-Upper Range Hit compared to Stock but I'm really not aware of the Progress made with Reeds . I'm very Young ,and at 42 I keep my riding to a Mix of Open , Forest, maybe 3 Hours max, no Racing now due to my Long List of Injuries, Thanks for any Comments..........

Hi Mark, it's great to see you are still riding at 42. I'm sorry, I don't know much about V-Force either, I see one on ebay running for around 80$ now but I'm happy with my setup. Anyway, I hope I can still move by then, I am still young and feeling it after major breaks, but still ride with my dad who is 51 and still riding hard in the dirt and street.

Anyway, once the jetting is in, boy she just takes off doesn't she. Anyway, good choice in new bikes. I'm still with a '90 but, very happy.

I never had the Boysen Rad Valve, but I hear it just moves the power to the mid/top end.I do have the V-Force and it made power through the whole power band, seemed more responsive and I felt I could pull a taller gear(like out of corners). No reliability issues, every one I know thats got one felt it was worth the money, but dont expect miracles!
